"Your part is just to train harder and leave this matter to us."

Chun and Lionel both give a disappointed face.

Justin
"Its ok,since i was about to let them join the arena."

Chun and Lionel
"Really?!"

"Your Majesty!You sure about this?"

Edmund
"Its very dangerous for them,they might lose their life."

Justin
"As i was saying,one of the terms was not to let the seven deputies join the
arena."

Shinra
"What?!then how are we going win this battle?"

Justin
"We have to depend on these two."

Xia
"But they are still too early to fight against the Dark Phoenix clan."

Justin
"That why the both of them have to train as hard as you can before the arena start."

Chun and Lionel
"Yes your majesty!"

Shinra
"Don't get too happy yet."

Han
"All the deputies will do their best to train the both of you,and i can gurantee you that the training is not going to be easy."

Chun and Lionel
"We are ready!"

Justin
"Alright then,all of you should go rest now,i have some tasks for the deputies to do tomorrow.And Edmund,stay back for a second,i need to talk to you about something."

Everyone left the room except Edmund and Justin.

Edmund
"What is it your Majesty?"

Justin
"I want you participate in this arena so as to keep a close watch on them."

Edmund
"What?But I thought that deputies are not allowed to join?"

Justin
"Your father have not really retired yet,you are just here in his place as
a proxy for the meeting.So I want you to participate as the disciple of your father."

Edmund
"Of Course your majesty."

Justin
"And also, your ablility has well surpassed your father.I want you to
join the other deputies to train the both of them too."

Edmund
"Yes your majesty."

Justin
"You may be dismiss now."

While the palace is busy with its own problem,another problem came up at Kerman's place.........

"Took you long enough."

Junhong
"Sorry,went to fetch him."

Another guy wearing a black coat came in.

Shinra
"You don't know your way around here Edmund?"

Edmund
"Sorry,this is my first time."

Justin
"Alright then,let us start the meeting."

"It all began when i heard from Robbie a few months ago.He told me that he have found some evidence that showed that the dark lord is going to be revived."

Justin
"Any idea where or what are the evidence?"

Shinra
"Robbie's men told me that every documents in his room were gone by the time
they found him."

Jo
"That just means we don't know anything except that the dark lord is going to be revived?"

Edmund
"My dad do have some information about the dark lord. Heard that it was passed
to Master Xia."

Xia
"Yeah,its with me."

Xia take out a photo.Its show a picture of the armored dome.

JunHong
"The seal is gone."

Justin
"Look like we have a serious problem here."

A guard suddenly rushed into the room.

Man
"My lord!It's a letter from the enemy!"

Justin
"What? Bring it to me now!"

The man handed over a letter,Justin read it and give out a shocking look.

Justin
"Look like they have finally start."

JunHong
"What does the letter say?"

Justin
"They intend to play a game, a match between us and them, Death arena."

Xia
"Arena?"

Justin
"And it not only involved us,every part of the world will know about this and think that it's only a competition."

Shinra
"You mean other strong people around the world will gather?"

Justin
"Yeah.The winner will have his request no matter what, granted by me."

Jo
"What if we dun accept these terms?"

Justin
"They will launch a nuclear on every deputy's territory.And a full scale attack on us,
which means war."

Han
"Look like we have no other choices but to accept their terms."

Justin
"The problems is....."

Before the emperor could finish his word,some branches broke outside the window.

Xia immediately shot a "Phoenix drive."towards the window.It exploded and blow off the window.

Jo
"Who's there?Show yourself!"

Chun and Lionel slowly got up from the mess with their hands raised up......

Lionel immediately countered it with "Phoenix Drive",the two Ki clash and exploded while both of them dashed towards each other in great speed.Chun uses his kicks to attack Lionel,to be returned by Lionel's fists.Both of their speed were so intense that spark were seen as their kicks
and punches clashed.

Chun
"You sure have improved alot!"

Lionel
"Look like you did some training too."

Chun
"Guess i have to be serious to defeat you!"

Chun sped up his attack,but this time with Ki gathered in his kicks.Mutiple shockwave started to shoot out in high speed.

Xia
"Look like your son have trained well."

Jo
"You don't know how determine he was to became strong."

Lionel jumped back and counter with "Thousand Blossom"!He concentrade his Ki and shot out mutiple Ki beam.Ki beams and shockwaves clash and explosion errupted quickly between them.

Shinra
"Impressive, for the both of them to achieve this stage when they are so young."

Justin
"Yeah."

The fog cleared, it appears that both of them were breathing heavily.

Chun
"Let end this shall we?"

Lionel
"That's what i intend to do!"

Chun gather his Ki on his foot,and Lionel concentrated his between his hand.Both of them ready to give their final blow.

Chun and Lionel
"AHHHHHH!"

Sonic Swift and Phoenix Drive clashed,the impact of the two Ki was too big that it push the two of them away from each other.

Xia
"Look like its over."

Shinra
"Wait,not yet."

Lionel immediately leaped up and aimed at Chun.He held his breath and shot a small sharp Ki towards Chun.Chun knew he couldn't dodge it. He closed his eyes, accepting his loss.The Ki hit
the ground beside him.

Chun
"Alright,you got me this time."

When everything was over, Justin invited all of them to a feast in the palace,a meeting was held after that and Chun and Lionel was asked to wait in their room.Chun get bored and went to Lionel's room to find him.

Chun
"So you Went through alot of training these few months."

Lionel
"Yeah.You went through alot too i see."

Chun
"You don't know how fierce my mother train me."

Lionel and Chun
"Hahahaha!"

On the meeting,the Emperor and his deputies were waiting for the one that has yet to turn up.

Shinra
"I wonder what took him so long.Even Han have reached."

Han
"Its not like i want to be late,you know very well that how scary it is when
Jane gets angry."

Jo
"Haha!Never make a woman angry,you will regret it."

Xia
"Looks like he has arrived."

The door creaked opened and a man wearing a black coat came into the room......

A man rushed in to Shinra's office.

Shinra
"What is this ruckus all about?"

Man
"Sir!Master Robbie is dead!"

Shinra
"What?!"

The man told Shinra what happened.Master Robbie is found dead within a pool of blood.

Shinra
"So he has started moving again."

The next day,Shinra called Lionel to his office.

Shinra
"There is something important i need to tell you.One of the deputies
is dead."

Lionel
"Huh?! What happened?"

Shinra
"He was killed,by someone who is very strong."

Lionel
"Any idea who did this?"

Shinra
"Only Dark phoenix clan have so much hatred for us.Must be them."

Lionel
"So what are you going to do?"

Shinra
"There will be a meeting held at the palace next week,all the deputies will
be attending.The Emperor wants you to attend it too."

Lionel
"Why would His Majesty wan me to go?"

Shinra
"Words have been passed around,The Emperor wanted to meet you."

One week later,Lionel followed Shinra to England.They came to the palace located at London.When Lionel arrived,he saw a familiar face that he know very well.

Lionel rushed over and tap on him.
"Chun!"

Chun
"Hey man!Long time no see!"

Lionel
"How have you been?And why are you here?"

Chun
"I'm accompanying my mother and Master Xia here."

Two persons approached them,It was Jo and Xia Jun.

Xia
"I see that you have grown alot."

Lionel
"All thanks to Master."

Jo
"How was the travelling these few months?"

Lionel
"It was tough but fun."

Jo
"Glad to hear that.Keep up the good work then."

Chun
"Hey,its been a long time,wanna train?"

Lionel
"Sure!But where can we train?"

"Don't worry,there's a training ground inside."

A man wearing a cool leather jacket came out.He is the Emperor,Justin.

Lionel
"Who are you?"

Jo
"Don't be rude.He's the Emperor."

Lionel
"What the?!"

Justin
"Nice to meet you.You must be Lionel,the gifted one."

Lionel
"It's my honor to meet the Emperor."

Justin
"All right then.I heard that you two wanted to train.I have prepared a
training ground for you two."

Lionel and Chun
"Thank you!"

All of them went inside the palace and came to an empty field with fences around.The size was about two football field.

Lionel and Chun
"Totally awersome."

Justin
"You two may use this training ground to train."

Lionel
"Thank you!"

Both of them went in and distance themself from each other.

Chun
"Are you ready?"

Lionel
"Anytime."

Chun take the chance to first strike and shot a "Sonic Swift" towards
Lionel......

Lionel
"Wow that was amazing!"

Shinra
"My specialty is sniping,I can aim for any target i want as long as
i can see it."

Lionel
"Cool but what am i going to learn?"

Shinra
"To compress your Ki to be powerful enough to damage your target
even after traveling a great distance."

Lionel
"Compress my Ki?"

Shinra
"I think i will just show you.You know how to shoot a Ki beam rite?"

Lionel
"Yeah."

Shinra
"Ok aim at the ground 10m from u."

Lionel begin to concentrade his Ki in his hand and shot out a Ki beam.The beam make a small hole on the ground.

Shinra
"Ok now watch me."

Shinra did the same as Lionel but his beam was smaller and thinner.But It hit the same ground and create a big explosion!

Lionel
"Wow!How did you do that? Your Ki beam was definately smaller then mine."

Shinra
"That is compressing Ki."

Shinra then taught Lionel all the techniques he knew and did some demonstrations.After all the demonstrations, Lionel worked hard to compress his Ki.

After a few days,Shinra asked Lionel to go to his office.

Shinra
"So i see that you know how to compress your Ki now."

Lionel
"Yeah."

Shinra
"Let me introduce my wife to you."

The door opened and a lady holding a steel case come in.

Shinra
"This is Irene,she the greatest gun crafter you can find."

Irene
"Nice to meet you."

Lionel
"Nice to meet you too."

Shinra
"Have you prepared "that"?"

Irene
"Of course.Who do you think i am?"

Both of them laughed.Irene then open the case,inside the case was a gun and a glove.Shinra took the gun and pass it to Lionel.

Lionel
"A gun!?For me?"

Shinra
"Yeah.Now follow me."

Shinra brought Lionel to the training room again.

Shinra
"Now i will teach you how to aim at your targets."

Lionel
"Ok."

Shinra
"The environment is very important.Wind,moisture,temperature and air.Most importantly,
your breathing."

Lionel
"My breathing?"

Shinra
"Yeah.A single heartbeat will affect your accuracy,that why you must hold your breath
when u aiming.Pass me your gun."

Shinra aimed at his target, held his breath and fired at his target.It was a bull's eye.

Lionel
"Wow."

Shinra pass back Lionel his gun.

Shinra
"Now you try."

Lionel spent another few days to train at Shinra's company.One week later,a shocking news was
send to Shinra's office.....

Sam
"So you're here to learn martial arts?"

Lionel
"Yeah. By the way, are you their daughter?"

Sam
"Oh my, Jane is the same age as me! Does she look that old?"

Lionel
"Oh, sorry."

Sam
"Haha, she's just too matured for her age. I was her secretary in
her company."

Lionel
"Oh ok."

When they reached the airport, Sam did the necessary procedures for the flight and sent Lionel off.

Sam
"Good luck on your trip. I am sure we will meet soon."

Lionel
"Bye."

While on the plane, Lionel wondered about Sam's words about meeting again.But those thoughts faded away as Lionel took a nap.

A few hours later, Lionel arrived at the airport of Guang Zhou.A group of men was waiting for him at the arrival hall. One of them came up and asked.

"Are you Mr Lionel?"

Lionel
"Er..Yes?"

Men:
"Master asked us to bring u"

Lionel
"Oh ok."

They brought Lionel to a tall building located in the middle of the town.A man was waiting for him at the top floor.

Lionel
"Are you Master Wei Liang?"

Shinra
"Yes, but just call me Shinra. Welcome to my company, let me give you a
tour."

Shinra gave Lionel a tour of what his company was about.

Shinra
"My company produces the best guns in the world."

Lionel
"Wow, that's cool."

Shinra
"All the guns that are used by the Emperor's army are produced by us. But the one Dark Phoenix clan is using comes from the black market."

Lionel remained silent and continued to walk around.

Shinra
"Anyway, Han told me about you. Here, come with me."

Shinra brought Lionel to a machinery room.

Shinra
"This is the room that I trained. This room can transform to any places in the world as long as I have the data."

Shinra pressed a button on a machine and the place turned into a big glassland.

Lionel
"Awesome."

Shinra
"Here is my specialty. I shall show you right now. Here, use this binoculaurs,see that target in front?"

Lionel nodded his head. Shinra gathered his ki on his finger and shot right at the
target.......

Lady
"Are you Mr Lionel?"

Lionel
"Yeah. You are?"

Sam
"Just call me Sam. Master Han is waiting for you at his mansion. He asked me to come fetch you."

Lionel
"Oh ok."

They went into a car outside the airport, and reached a big mansion.

Lionel
"Wow this mansion is big!"

Sam
"Master Han's wife, Jane, is a very successful businesswoman."

Lionel
"I see."

They went inside the mansion while Sam guided Lionel into the living room.A tanned man was sitting down there.

Sam
"Here he is."

Han
"Thank you. You may leave now."

Sam left.

Han
"So you are the one sent by Xia."

Lionel
"Yes. Nice to meet you, Master Han."

Han
"Save the formalities. Let's get to business."

Master Han brought Lionel to a room underground filled with dart boards.

Han
"I heard from your master that you were gifted."

Lionel
"I'm not too sure either, but I've tested it out before."

Han
"Anyway, I was asked to teach you so let's get started."

Master Han begin to concentrate. He then shot many small beams of Ki with great speed to each and every darts board in the room!

Lionel
"WOW!"

Han
"This is called "Thousand Blossom" .A skill that I invented to hit as many targets you want as long as your Ki amount is enough. I shall teach you the techniques to control the Ki for this skill."

After a series of teaching and demostrating, Lionel is ready for his first try.

Han
"Hit 10 targets first. Remember the things I taught you."

Lionel start to concentrate and then shot the 10 Ki beams toward the targets.Lionel was kind of disappointed as not all 10 hit the targets.

Han
"You already did a good job. Being able to shoot all these targets on the first try is impressive. You just need more practice. It is true that you're really gifted."

Lionel
"Yes Master! Thank you."

For the past few days, Lionel was training hard at Master Han's mansion .One night, Jane and
Han was talking in the living room and Lionel overheard it.

Jane
"Isn't he a hardworking boy?"

Han
"He sure is, Xia found himself a good disciple. I always thought that he have good eyes for
potential youngsters."

Jane
"Is he the one you guys are looking for?"

Han
"I don't know, maybe."

At this moments,Lionel felt so honoured yet he had a lot of questions to ask. But he decided not
to think too much and to make decisions only when the time comes.

After 2 weeks, Lionel finished his training. He successfully mastered "Thousands Blossom".
Master Han and Jane sent him off and gave him another letter.

Han
"Take this and go to China to find Master Wei Liang."

Lionel
"Ok Master. Thank you for the hospitality."

Jane
"I've asked Sam to bring you to the airport and the flight is already prepared for you."

Lionel
"Thanks Madam!"

Jane
"I'm still quite young you know..."

Lionel
"Oh sorry, Mrs Han"

Jane
"Haha, alright then. Take care boy."

While in the car, Sam suddenly talked to Lionel.......

"What the.."

"Stand back, I have to save her!"

Junhong was unusually calm, everything was under control.He stood in front of the fire and began to concentrate.

Junhong
"Great water spirit of the nature,lend me your strength!"

Water started to gather around Junhong. He swung the water towards the fire and it instantly extinguised. Among the ruins, there was a steel box.

Junhong went over and opened the box. Magdalene crawled out of the box unharmed.

"They sure did a clean job."

Wen
"What is this about?"

Junhong
"It's just to keep the prophet safe. Every time someone from your clan
finds out where the prophet lives, we will blow up the house to destroy
every trace of the prophet."

Wen
"Oh. So you're afraid that I will leak the information to them?"

Mag
"I know you won't do that, but people who follow you will."

Wen turned around but he saw no one around.

Mag
"They are gone. They must have gone back to report to their Chief."

Wen
"You really are the prophet."

Mag
"HAHAHA. You finally believe me."

Junhong
"So back to the topic, what do you plan to do?"

Wen
"I already know my answer."

Wen dashed away with "Dark Stride".

Mag
"What a hasty boy."

JunHong
"Are you sure he will be one of us later? He still has that evil aura around him."

Mag
"He will be. I never make mistakes about these."

A few hours later, Wen reached a mansion located near Indonesia. He knocked on the
door and a man came out to greet him.

Man
"May I help you Sir?"

Wen
"I'm looking for your Master."

Man
"May I know your name?"

Wen
"Wen."

The man went in. A few minutes later, a guy wearing sunglasses came out.

Wen
"Long time no see, Kerman."

Kerman is the strongest boxer in the world. His father died during the war with his mother's guidance not to get involved in any conflicts between good and evil.

Kerman
"I thought I've told you that I am not joining any clan."

Wen
"No, it's not about clans. Besides, I've already left the clan."

Kerman
"Then what business do you have here?"

Wen took out a bottle of vodka and said
"Just a chat and drinks, I need your help."

Kerman
"Come in then."

A woman was watching when Wen went in the mansion, she made a call and left.

A few days later, Lionel arrived at the airport of Australia. When he came out of
the arrival hall, a lady was waiting for him......

Wen
"You really intend to kill me."

Cloud
"You won't die that easily. Now come on!"

Wen appeared behind Cloud and gave him a quick punch but Cloud immediately blocked it with his sword. The impact was so big it caused a big wind that blew everything nearby away.

Cloud
"It's about time you get serious."

Wen
"I was just about to do that."

Both of them jumped up the sky with great speed. The speed was too fast to be
seen by a human's eyes as it splits the sky as they clashed.

After a series of attacks, both of them shot Kis at each other and an explosion erupted. The impact was too big for both of them to handle that they fell back to the ground.

People gathered to check on them. There were discussions everywhere.
Suddenly both of them stood up.

Wen
"Are we going to continue this?"

Cloud
"Enough. I know how determined you are. Just contact me when you need help."

Wen
"Will do. I shall be on my way now."

Cloud
"Be careful."

Wen
"Say Hi to Sherene for me."

Cloud
"Ok."

Both of them used "Dark Stride" and got away from the place. The ground was in a
mess but luckily there were no casualties.

A few days later, Wen went to Korea to find the prophet. He came to a small house in Seoul. Just as he was about to go in, he sensed someone's presense and turned around. Infront him was a smart looking man holding a fan. He was one of the seven deputies
of the Emperor called Junhong.

Junhong
"May I know what business you have here?"

Wen
"I am looking for the prophet, there's something I need to know."

Junhong
"You know very well that this is an enemy territory. The woman sitting inside
is very important to us."

Wen
"I won't harm her, I just need an answer."

Junhong
"I know. I just came out here to hear it from your mouth."

Wen smiled and went in, he walked into a dimly litted room. The walls were covered with posters of Korea superstars and bands. The room was filled with Korean music.A woman was sitting at the end of the room watching tv. Wen approached her and sat
down beside the table.

Mag
"These boys are so cute!"

Wen remained silent.

Mag
"Oh sorry. I forget I have a guest today. Thought it was JunHong. HAHAHAHA!"

Wen
"It's ok. I am sure you know why I am here."

Mag
"Of course, I am the prophet."

Wen
"So may I know my past?"

Mag
"Your father was a great man, your mother was a kind woman. You have a lovely brother
and the one who killed your parents is the one you are indebted to."

Wen
"That's all? Can't I know their names?"

Mag
"You know the rules here. It is forbbiden to say names when I am predicting the future or
past."

Wen thank Mag and went out. JunHong was waiting outside when Wen came out.

Junhong
"So you found your answer?"

Wen
"Yeah, but not a very clear one."

Junhong
"I heard that you've quitted your clan. Is it true?"

Wen
"Yeah. Something happened.

Junhong
"So what do you plan to do now?"

Wen
"I kinda ..."

Before Wen finish his line, Mag's house exploded....

The next moment was a minute of silence. Suddenly, the sound of cracking of bones came from behind the man. The man turned and found that his two men were down.Wen appeared infront of the man in an instant later.

Wen
"Hand over the things you promised and I will spare your life."

The man handed over a package and Wen opened it and checked the contents.

Man
"You know very well what will happen if you're going to leave the clan.
Chief Kelvin will not let you off so easily!"

Wen ignored his words and flew off using his Ki.

Soon after he left, the man felt a pain on his neck. He turned around and saw a guy wearing a set of tuxedo, accompanied by a beautiful lady.

Man
"Sir Valen! Why are you here?"

Valen
"You know very well why I'm here."

Man
"No..This can't be.."

The man dropped on his knees and purple wounds start to appear on his hands and face.

Valen
"Slowly enjoy the process, my friend. Oh I mean, ex-friend."

Man
"I am faithful to Chief! Why did he do this to me?!"

Valen
"No,he didn't do this to you.I the one who did it."

Man
"You, Son of a bitch! I will not let you enjoy this!"

The man ran over to the edge and jumped off the building.

Valen
"That's a very wise choice. HAHAHAHAHA!!"

Wen reached an apartment a few streets away. He unlocked the door and saw a guy with a big sword sitting on the chair at the back of the room.

Wen threw over the package and said
"Here's what you wanted, Cloud"

Cloud
"Thanks."

Cloud grabbed the package and opened it. He took out a gun from the package and
carefully checked it.

Wen
"I've already checked for you."

Cloud
"Just to confirm it."

Wen
"I don't understand. Why do you need a gun when you are already carrying a
big sword? And why must you buy this from that weapon dealer?"

Cloud
"This is not for me, it's for my sister. You know very well where I can find the
best guns for her."

Wen
"Oh ok. Didn't know she's good at guns."

Cloud
"There's a lot more you don't know."

Wen
"Then are you..."

Before Wen finished his sentence, he gathered his Ki and jumped out of the window up to
the roof and grab onto a man's neck.

Wen
"Did Kelvin send you?"

The man did not say anything as blood came out from his mouth. Cloud came to the
roof and saw the man lying on the floor.

Cloud
"You killed him?"

Wen
"He bite his tougue off himself, did a clean job."

Cloud
"So our whereabouts were revealed?"

Wen
"Guess so. Let's get out of here."

Both of them gather Ki on their feet and disappeared. This was a skill only the Dark Phoenix clan knew how to use. "Dark Stride" is a skill where you concentrate your Ki on the leg which enables you move like the speed of light.

30 minutes later, Wen and Cloud landed infront of Eiffel Tower.

Cloud
"You're still as sharp as ever. One single bit of Ki movement and you can notice it
immediately."

Wen
"It's my specialty."

Cloud
"So what do you intend to do after this?"

Wen
"I need to find one person. She's Magdalene"

Cloud
"That Prophet?! Are you crazy?! You got yourself a whole dark army chasing after
you and now you're going into another enemy territory?!"

Wen
"I have no other choice, I have to know my past."

Cloud
"Then show me how determined you are!"

Cloud immediately drew out his sword dashing towards Wen without a warning and slashed towards his head........

Chun
"So I just got beaten for nothing"

Lionel
"Sorry."

Lionel invited Chun to his apartment to have a drink. His room was simple with a long sofa, a small table ,a television and a single bed.

Chun
"Can't you just do some decoration?"

Lionel
"What for? I am the only one living here anyway."

Chun
"So how was your test?"

Lionel
"I passed it within 1 hour"

Chun
"What?!"

Lionel told everything that happened during the test, Chun was shocked and found it unbelieveable.

Lionel
"Shall we test it out?"

Chun
"Sure."

Both of them got out of the room and went to the field again.

Lionel
"Teach me how to use "Sonic Swift"."

Chun
"What? You know very well that not all people can control their Ki
to use that skill. Besides, it took me years to learn it too."

Lionel
"Well let's try it."

Chun taught Lionel the techniques to control the Ki for "Sonic Swift" and demostrated once for him to see.

Lionel
"Here goes!"

Lionel lifted his leg up and began to gather his Ki on his foot, then shot
out a shockwave!

Chun
"Oh my god, you really did it!"

Lionel show Chun a victory sign.

Chun
"I took 3 years to master this skill. You just took 30 minutes to learn.
That's totally awersome! You really are gifted!"

The next morning, Chun sent Lionel to the bus stop.

Chun
"I guess this time's really goodbye"

Lionel
"Yeah, but we will meet again."

Chun
"I'm sure we would since we're on the path of being the strongest martial artistes"

Lionel
"Is that a challenge?"

Chun
"You bet it is!"

Chun punched softy on Lionel's chest and said
"Friends Forever."

Lionel did the same back and said
"Rivals Forever."

The bus arrived and Lionel bid goodbye to Chun. He then set off for his trip ahead which has many obstacle waiting for him.

On the other side of Earth, there was a tall building which stood somewhere in New York City. A man was on the top floor waiting for someone to arrive.

Man
"So i see that you have come, Wen"

Wen
"My friend Cloud ask me to come and take something from you."

Man
"Yes indeed. But you won't be able to return to him alive!"

Just as the man finished his line, 2 armed men appeared behind him.

Wen
"You really think that guns can stop me?"

Man
"Your body is made up of flesh and blood regardless of how strong you are."

The man signaled and gunshots were heard on top of the building....

This time, the girl is aiming for Lionel. Just as she about to fire her ki,Chun dashed over immediately, pinning her down with a submission move.

Girl
"Let me go!"

Chun
"I will not do that until u promise not to destroy my room anymore"

Girl point at Lionel and say
"I must kill this guy!!He is the heir of that villian!"

Both Chun and Lionel exchanged glances,looks like they have just captured their answers.

Chun
"So you were the one who attacked him the other time?"

Girl
"He was lucky that the villian showed up"

Lionel
"But why do you hate Master Xia so much? Calling him a villian is rude."

Girl
"He is the one that destroyed my family, him and his other 6 friends!"

Lionel glanced at Chun with a confused expression. Chun was also shocked that his mother was a part of it. Curious, Lionel wanted to know more. So he planned something in his mind and signaled Chun to cooperate with him.

Lionel
"I am no longer the heir of Master Xia anymore. I was just kicked out by him today"

Girl surpisely believed
"Really?"

Lionel
"Yeah. So we are now officially no longer enemies, you don't have any more reasons to continue your assaults."

Girl
"Ok.But would you mind asking this guy here to let go of me?"

Chun let go and said
"Oh. Sorry."

Lionel
"My name is Lionel,this is Chun Hao."

Girl
"Jermel."

Lionel
"So what is this all about..."

Just as Lionel was about to start asking questions,the door downstair opened. Chun immediately shoved Lionel and Jermel to the window and signaled them to leave.

Lionel
"What about the mess?"

Jermel
"Wait,why must we leave?"

Chun
"Then are you gonna explain to my mother about the mess?"

Jermel
"Oh ok.Sorry."

Lionel scooped Jermel up and escaped through Chun's window. Grasping Jermel's hand tightly, they made their way towards the empty field that he usually trained.

Lionel
"It should be safe here."

Jermel
"Erm..Would you mind letting my hand go?"

Lionel
"Oh.Sorry"

Lionel immediatly released Jermel's hand, a little too forceful. At that moment, their eyes met for an instance. Almost at the same time again, they both turned away from each other, both blushing from the akwardness.

Jermel
"Thank for saving me from the accident."

Lionel
"Oh.Its nothing.I didn't do much,its was Chun who helped you out alot."

Jermel
"Oh than i'll have to thank him the next time.He's a nice guy."

The moon was now their only source oflight. Basking the field with moonlight it revealed Jermel's beauty. Lionel was mesmerized by how beautiful she looked. It was as if she was glowing under the night. He had never seen a girl that could made his heart beat so fast.

Their akward silence was fortunately broken by a random tune. Jermel take out her cellphone.Looking at Lionel, she hinted him to leave her alone for awhile.Lionel understood and walked towards the nearby bench to rest.

After 10 mins,Jermel reappeared.

Jermel
"I've got to go. Sorry."

Lionel
"Where are you going?"

Jermel
"Sorry,I can't tell u."

Just as Jermel about to leave,Lionel grab her hand and stopped her.

Lionel
"Are we going to meet again?"

Jermel
"Upon the ragged earth, may fate decide whether we are to meet again?"

Lionel released her hand,and watched her slowly fade away into the darkness.Unbearable sadness filled his heart at that moment.Ironically, he do not know what made him feel like that.

When Lionel reach his apartment,Chun was waiting outside for him. Bruises was found on
his face,Lionel wanted to laugh but manage to hold it back.

Lionel
"Looks like it's been a hard time for you."

Chun
"You owe me one"

Lionel
"Yeah.Thanks."

Chun
"So did you manage to find out anything?"

Memories flash back into his mind,and he just forget all about the questions that he want to ask....

Lionel saw it coming, his body responded quickly to the incoming attack. He quickly gathered his Ki on his leg and dodged the beam in an instant.

Master Xia forseen this will happen and continued his attacks. He shot a few more beams within the next few seconds. Lionel did not let down his guard at all but concentrated the Ki on his leg, allowing him to easily dodge the other attacks.

After a series of attack, Master Xia paused and looked at Lionel. He sent a signal - A signal that only both of them knew. Lionel began to gather his Ki just like what his master did and shot a mutiple number of beams!

But it was not enough to defeat Master Xia as he blocked the beams one by one using his bare hands. After a series of continuous attacks, Lionel was too tired as he have used up his Ki.

Master Xia
"How do you feel now?"

Lionel breathlessly said
"T...i..red."

Master Xia
"And how did you manage to use that skill?"

Lionel was stunned, memories about the attacks he did eariler flashed into his mind.

Lionel
"It just came to my mind as I saw how master attack me."

Master Xia laughed loudly
"You have passed the test!"

Lionel
"WHAT?! THAT'S ALL?!"

Master Xia
"HAHAHA. Let me explain - The skill was "Phoenix Drive", Which I spent 3 years to invent. Even people at my level need 2-3 years to master it, but you learn it within 1 hour."

Lionel
"But...how come?"

Master Xia
"When we met for the first time, I can see that you have a pair of gifted eyes. I knew that you were gifted with the abilites to learn everything faster then anyone. I was training you physically and mentally. What Madam YiTing fed you was a medicine that she created to make your body adapt to many different kinds of Ki."

Lionel remained silent...........

Master Xia
"And if you did not go through all those trainings, you would have lost control of the Ki and explode. The test today was to see if you are able to control it, and you did it!
I just taught you my strongest skills although it was only 10% of the power."

Lionel
"10%?! What will happened if you use 100%?"

Master Xia
"I've never tried that before, but I think it will cause the whole town to be wiped out."

Lionel was too shocked to say anything.

Master Xia
"Anyway, now that you have passed my test, I want you to travel around the world."

Lionel
"But the other day, I heard about you and that old man saying something about find a heir."

Master Xia
"It is a waste for you to stay here and be my heir. You have gifted abilities so you have to go for
a journey to train yourself stronger and able to fight the evil that will be revived soon"

Lionel
"Thank you Master!"

Before Lionel leave Master Xia's place, Master Xia gave him a letter and asked him to go to Australia to find his partner, Robbie. Lionel bidded goodbye and went back to his apartment to prepare for his trip.Just as Lionel walked out of his house, he saw a person standing outside waiting for him. It was Chun Hao.

Chun Hao
"Don't intend to say goodbye?"

Lionel
"Was about to do that."

Chun hao
"Haha. Let me send you off"

When they reached the bus stop, they promised each other that they will meet again and gave each other a hug. Just as Lionel was about to get on the bus, "Boom!" a car accident happened opposite the street.

The two boys looked at each other and rushed over to see if anybody needed help. They saw a girl in her school uniform lying there. The girl's leg was cover with blood and was unconscious, Chun quickly took a look at her to see if there was any serious injures. Luckily the girl did not have any serious injury except a deep scratch on her leg.

Chun brought the girl back to his house and asked Jo to give her some medical treatment. The boys went in to take a look at her after Jo finished the treatment. Lionel was looking constantly at her face, Chun saw that and teased him.

Chun
"She's kinda cute right? Your type?"

Lionel
"No..it's just that she looks so familiar."

Chun
"Come on man, that's an old trick already!"

Lionel
"I am serious!"

Chun looked at Lionel's face and know that he really wasn't joking about it.

Chun
"Could it be someone from our secondary school?"

Lionel
"Dude, we studied at a boy's school."

Chun let out a cheeky laugh while Lionel gave him a stare.

Chun
"Ok ok, I shall stop. So you think she is the one that attacked you?"

Lionel
"Maybe, we shall ask her when she wake up"

Chun
"Let's go have dinner first, I think your trip has to be postponed to tomorrow."

After they ate their dinner, they went back to the room where the girl was in. When they opened the door, the bed was empty. They looked at each other and Chun started to move in slowly. Suddenly a Ki was shot at Chun! Chun saw it coming and easily dodged it, but the Ki hit his closet and made a hole.

Chun
"You were lucky that my mother is not at home."

Lionel looked over and saw that girl, she was ready to shoot another Ki......

The rain started to pour with thunder striking. The fog caused by an explosion started to disperse with two men facing each other laughing.

Chun
"That was sweet! Since when did you become so strong?"

Lionel
"You don't know how much training I went through."

Chun
"I see that you've trained hard, but not hard enough!"

Just as Chun finished his sentence, he gathered his Ki on one of his legs and dashed towards Lionel, followed by a thrust kick.Lionel tried to block it but he was not strong enough. The impact pushed him back a few steps and he vomited some blood.

Chun seized the opening and continued his attacks. He lifted up his foot and gathered enough Ki to shoot out a shockwave towards Lionel. This was a skill only Joanna possessed called "Sonic Swift".

Lionel did not let down his guard, but this was too much for him."Baboom!", a small explosion erupted and Lionel dropped onto the ground. Chun dashed forward and he lifted up his leg to give his final blow without hesitation. Lionel saw it coming so he closed his eyes, thinking that this was the end.


Chun stopped his leg 1 inch from Lionel's face. Lionel opened his eyes and saw
Chun's smiling face.

Lionel
"Fine, you win!"

Chun
"You did well. It won't be long till' the day you surpass me."

Lionel
"Thanks."

Chun pulled Lionel up and decided to head home. Just when they were leaving the
place, a familiar voice appeared behind them.

Familiar voice
"Stop right there"

Chun's face changed as he turned back.

Chun
"Mother."

Infront of them stood a woman. She was the strongest woman and one of the seven deputies,
also known as "Deadly Swift Jo". She had an unhappy face.

Lionel
"Aunt...."

Jo
"You should know very well Lionel."

Lionel
"Oh sorry, Aunt Jo"

Jo
"I know you guys often train here, but don't you think you went a bit overboard? Look at the mess that you made on the floor, what is going to happen when the elders come tomorrow morning for taiji? You know well that everyone in this town know that the two of you came here for training."

Chun
"Sorry mother, I was kind of excited today" Chun gave out a cheeky smile on his face

Jo
"Clean up this mess now! And no more using of Ki!"

Chun and Lionel
"WHAT?!"

Jo
"Is there any problem?" Clenching her fist while saying it.

Chun and Lionel
"NO!"

Both of them started to work on the mess they caused. By the time they were done, it was
already midnight. Both of them looked at each other's pathetic faces and laughed.

One week later...

The day that Lionel was going to take his test from his master have arrived. Lionel came to
Master Xia's house early in the morning as he was told to do so. He saw Madam Yi Ting as
soon as he reached.

Madam Yi Ting
"Your master is waiting for you at the backyard."

Lionel thanked her and went to the backyard. Just as he reached, he saw his master standing on a small hill facing the mountain. Lionel called out to his master and went over.

Just as Lionel got near, Master Xia shot a beam of Ki towards him....

Master Xia
"Are you ok?"

Lionel
"Yes Master, I'm fine"

Master Xia
"That girl must be from the Dark Phoenix, they specialise in assasinating and spying"

Lionel showed a face of confusion.

"Haha! Let me explain. Dark Phoenix is a clan which servesunder the evil lord we fought 30 years ago. After he was defeated, the Dark Phoenix disappeared as well. It was then I heard from my partner that they have started to move again."

Lionel
"But why would they want to kill me? And why did they call you, my master a villian?"

Master Xia
"Do not be fooled by them! They bring nothing but disasters to our world, and manipulating humans' minds are one of their tricks!"

"Yes master."

Lionel went off after bidding goodbye to his master and went home for dinner. Just as he was about to reach home, he sensed another sneaked attack.

A swinging kick flew towards Lionel. Lionel blocked it with his hands and counter it with a toss. The man flew towards the wall but quickly used his legs to prevent the impact by jumping up on the wall. Just as Lionel was about to continue his attacks, he paused for a moment because he realised something: The man who attacked him was a familiar face, it was his best friend
Chun Hao.

Chun
"Wow that was fierce! That was a hell of a toss!"

Lionel
"It was your fault that you sneaked up on me. Besides, I was attacked before so I am on guard now."

Chun
"Huh? What happened?"

Lionel invited Chun Hao to his house and told him what happened eariler, about that mystery lady that attack him. Chun joked with Lionel after what he've heard.

Chun
"Did you peek on her when she was having a shower?"

Lionel
"I wish I had.."

Both of them laughed.

After the dinner, Lionel asked Chun to practice with him as the test is approaching. They then went to the empty field where they normally trained. This is not the first time Chun have trained with Lionel.

Lionel
"Come at me at 100%!"

Chun
"Woah you sure? The other time I used 70% of my strength and you can't even
endure it for 5 mins."

Lionel
"I want to see my limit."

Chun
"Ok then. No hard feelings."

Chun was the son of Joanna, one of the seven deputies and also the strongest female. She is known as "Deadly Swift Jo" because of her deadly and lightning speed kicks which only a handful of people can block. Chun was taught by his mother since young, which made him well-known
as "Little Swift Chun" soon after.

Both of them released their Ki and were ready to fight. Chun was amazed to find Lionel's Ki stronger than before. He dropped the idea of holding back and decided to go towards Lionel at full force! Chun grabbed the chance to strike with a spinning kick which he did eariler
but with a different level of power. Lionel knew if he blocked it with his hands again, he will
substain damages. But then he countered with a spinning kick which led to an ignited explosion...
